Hi,
On April 23, 2015, I started my blogging project of writing one blog post per day for the 100 days leading to August 1, 2015; the day on which I would officially start my new adventure of seeking doctoral studies.
My aim during the 100 days of blogging, was to keep my commitment of posting one post a day. It was not long before I realized, how simple sounding yet challenging this project was. Few days, I had an abundance of topics to write, and choosing just one topic seemed an overwhelming task. Some days, I could not even find one good topic to write about or even find words to any of my thoughts. There were also days, when I had been so busy that I hardly found time to write. At-least, more than once, I was inclined to give up this project. I am glad I did not.
When I reflect on the 100 blog posts I have written, I still find it unbelievable that I was able to accomplish this task. The one most important lesson I learnt from this project is: Don’t give up. It may not be easy but it is worth it.
I will end this post with E.L. Doctorow’s quote, which pretty much sums up my whole experience with this project.
Writing is an exploration. You start from nothing and learn as you go.
